Great feedback James. I feel the same way and I've had about the same experience as you. I'm still working on the FB group but I've had much more luck with the same topic on LinkedIn.

Thanks again, Doug

As for the difficulty of finding Facebook vs. Linkedin groups, it's not quite as simple as what you said.

With Linkedin, prominently on the left is "Groups" so that is hard to miss. With Facebook, there is a small icon at the bottom left of your screen, and many if not most people will never click on that icon.

On the other hand, Facebook has a much better search function for groups. In addition, by default when you are looking at a group, Facebook will display similar groups. Linkedin does not do that so it is very difficult to find a group that is related to the group you are looking at but is named slightly differently and thus did not appear in your search results.

I agree that most Facebook groups are quite inactive. There are lot more simply ridiculous Facebook groups that are created, people join, and then there is no reason to ever participate. Linkedin, being more business minded, is going to have more serious groups.
