I have to tell you right off the bat…This book rocks. Reading it gave me many great ideas and I love his writing style. It is one of those books that you can finish in a weekend and I highly recommend it to others.

I liked the fact that Gary talked about his upbringing and how he got involved in the wine business. He is a very passionate guy; selling baseball cards as a kid and much more. It will really help you see why he is so successful at what he does now.

I took a lot from this book after reading it. Like Gary says, you have to find something that you are passionate about. You have to put everything in it. That makes sense to me.

Get inspired today, read “Crush It” by Gary Vaynerchuk. You will be glad you did.

If you’ve read the book, what did you think about the book?

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I just read the book, Linked Working by Frank Agin & Lewis Howes. However I never wrote a book review about it. So here it goes.

I love books that I can finish in a few days. This was an easy, but fun and detailed book. I enjoyed how they apply a LinkedIn event to a real world situation and how they link together. It was great to see different perspectives on the authors use of LinkedIn.

I have been using LinkedIn for some time now, but I really enjoyed reading this book. I learned some great ideas that I’ve already applied. They work really well! Have you read this book? What are your thoughts on the book?

I would suggest reading a few other LinkedIn books first and especially if you are a LinkedIn newbie. This is really a great book to read after some basic understanding of LinkedIn.

I just finished reading the book “Blogging Heroes: Interviews with 30 of the world’s Top Bloggers” by Michael Banks. If you are thinking about blogging, I highly recommend reading this book. You will find similar traits among the 30 bloggers and some really great advice.

I found it interesting to read about a variety of bloggers their different blogging techniques. The one theme I heard over and over again was how you need to be passionate about your blogging topic. I mentioned this in Tuesday’s blog posting: Five pointers to starting a blog and I can’t stress it enough. It is very important and sometimes overlooked by newbie bloggers. I liked the fact that Mr. Banks interviewed a variety of people, so you get a different feel for each technique of blogging. I thought the book was great and it will really help me down the road. You get to read some of the other bloggers struggles, but also get to understand why each blogger got started, why they enjoy it and why they do it.

If you are thinking about starting a blog or like me, already started, check out the “Blogging Heroes” book. It will help you on the road to having a successful blog.

Do you have books to suggest for newbie bloggers? List them here and I will be sure to pickup a copy.

In my first blog posting, Lessons learned from using Twitter for the past 4 months…, I talked about one of the books that really helped me to figure out Twitter, Twitter Revolution. Many people that read the blog have picked up the book and found it to be very helpful for them as well. So, I thought since I read so many books per month (or at least try to), I’ll post some book reviews.

Last week I finished The Twitter Book by Tim O’Reilly, Sarah Milstein. I really enjoyed reading this book. It’s an easy read and I finished it fairly quickly. I also picked up a ton of new information. There is a bunch of great links that will help you in finding people (including sport stars, CEO and executives) and useful information for using Twitter. The colorful photos were very nice as well and made the info and content stand out much more. Some of the websites I’ve learned from the book (www.tweetmeme.com) have been very helpful for my posts.

In closing, I would highly recommend reading the Twitter Revolution first and then read this book after. If you’re a tweeter newbie, you will be well on your way to using Twitter.

Have you read these books? What do you think about them?
