As I was waiting to get my SUV repaired, I was thinking about the ways I would love to see companies start to embrace social media.

At the end of my repair work, I am asked to take a survey. Why not send me a tweet and I can do it right online? So much easier. Make a service appointment via a tweet. Awesome! Still there are so many other ways companies could start implementing social media and starting to make our lives easier.

I love sitting in waiting areas, restaurants, airports, etc. and listening to what others are doing and coming up with ways that social media could make it easier. I was in the doctor’s waiting room a week ago and was thinking, “wouldn’t it be great if my doctor was on twitter?” As a college lacrosse coach, there are many ways that we could use Twitter, with our players, players’ parents and fans. Most are on Facebook, however not all can access during the day, but I would say 99% of them have a cell phones.

I have said it before, but I’ll say it again, I am really excited to see where social media takes us. I think it is really awesome and can’t wait to see the changes. My question to you: In what ways would you love to see companies embrace social media?
