Hey all, it’s been awhile since I last posted. I’m sorry for the lack of posting, but things have been pretty crazy lately, especially with last week losing a friend and ex-player from the lacrosse team I help coach.

I was thinking about what to write about this week and started to reflect back on how I have been dealing with my friend’s death through social media. He has a Facebook Profile page and after his motorcycle accident, friends and family were able to post updates and prayers for him. After he passed away last week, we were all able to leave our comments on his Facebook page regarding memories about him and much more. He has friends from all over the USA, due to him being a Marine. For me, it helped dealing with the grief of losing a friend and seeing how much he touched many others lives.

This was my first experience of losing a friend that has a Facebook page and seeing how it can help with the grieving process. I wanted to see what others have come across. Do you think something like this helps or makes it worse for say family members in the grieving process? I would love to hear your feedback.

I wanted to thank my family and friends on the launch of my blog. First off my wife, Jen, for her support, help with launching the blog and reviewing my articles. I want to thank a good friend & business partner of mine, Mike Johansson (@mikefixs) for the URL idea and his other helpful ideas. He has a great marketing mind. To my friend, Wendy Boyce (@socialpmchick) for her help & guidance through the blog creation. And finally, Yvonne DiVita, a friend that I consider a true expert in blogging (@y2vonne), who provided some great advice to me a few months ago. Thanks Jen, Mike, Wendy & Yvonne… you guys are the best. There’s many others and I will thank them privately.
